# Duke Nukem Forever is DONE bitches!

We’ve been hearing “When it’s done” for more than a decade, but it’s finally done, and it’s coming out on May 3… of 2011!

Now I can’t decide if I want to buy Duke Nukem 3D on the XBLA to get my Duke fix until then. Maybe I’ll start with the demo…

I don’t care any more. Back when it was supposed to some out in 1976 or whatever, I was still excited by FPS games. This game was supposed to be revolutionary. But now it’s 2011. We already had Goldeneye, a couple of “Doom” titles and friggin’ Halo say everything that needed to be said about the genre. How is it going to be anything less than generic at this point in history?

Until it’s in a customer’s hands I won’t believe it.
I wonder, though… will [companies that took money for pre-orders back in the late '90s-early 2000s](http://terminalgamer.com/2010/01/04/fan-waits-9-years-for-his-duke-nukem-forever-pre-order/) still honor those, assuming they still exist?

This would’ve been exciting news when the game was originally supposed to come out, but I’m not a teenager anymore, and polygonal boobies and quasi-“ironic” misogynistic humor aren’t really that awesome anymore. Plus, it’s not like the internet doesn’t have all of that you could possibly handle already, for free.

Hahaha - amazing. I still remember the first copy of PC Gamer I ever bought - the cover story was an extensive preview of Duke Nukem Forever.
This was, I believe, in 1996. Perhaps 1997. In the time this game has been in development, I’ve finished middle school, graduated high school, gone on to college, fallen for beautiful women and failed causes, graduated with honors, studied to enter a profoundly dishonorable profession and then joined it. I’ve registered for the draft and the voter rolls, been called to jury duty, travelled the world and learned to cook a decent brisket. My uncle has gotten married and had children - the eldest one loves videogames, but has never heard of Duke Nukem. Before his time, you see.
I’ll certainly be playing this. How could I not? 😃

I’m just upset Dr Pepper didn’t have a promotion for Duke Nukem Forever like they had with _Chinese Democracy_. I could always use one more can of Dr Pepper.
This game would have to cure cancer, stop war, and provide no-strings attached threesomes with the hotties of your choice to live up to the hype.

He’s an angry little piss-ant, but that one was by far one of his finest videos ever. I love his dual axis leg control and eye brow movement description. 😃

Right you are, my good man! You’ll also need a jar of good barbecue sauce - relatively thin, not the gloopy over-sweetened stuff. Proceeed as follows:
1.) Dump brisket in slow cooker.
2.) Dump barbecue sauce in slow cooker.
3.) Turn slow cooker on.
4.) Return when brisket is food.

Thanks for the recipe, **Mr. Excellent**. There’s no vegetables in that, just a straight up hunk of beef and seasoned sauce? I’ll have to try it out next weekend. Which, to get back OT, is a lot shorter turnaround time than DN Whenever is taking.
