# Duke Nukem Forever vs Starcraft 2: What explains the difference?

They do seem to somewhat acknowledge the game, though, given that the game’s main character shows up in the SC2 single-player campaign, as well as some of the folks she interacted with.

Believe it or not, DNF only missed **one** scheduled release date: May 15, 2011. The one month delay before the game was released was the only official release date ever announced for the game. Before that, DNF had vague release dates that always involved the word “maybe” or the more popular “when it’s done.”
