Lets compare plots for a moment. The Three Musketeers is about the main characters trying to stop a war by keeping secret agents of the French Prime Minister from revealing the secret of the Queen’s infidelity.
So you’ve got war, you’ve got infidelity, you’ve got secret agents, you’ve got political intrigue, you’ve got swordfighting, friendship and witty repartee.
Crime and Punishment is about a guy who kills a pawnbroker and her sister and spends the rest of the book brooding about it until his girlfriend talks him into confessing.
