I"ve slept (platonically) with women I’ve never had sex at least two or three times in my life. To my knowledge, there was no romantic interest either way, but I could be wrong. It happens. One case was a woman stayed over after a card night at my flat and didn’t feel like going home, and I only had a twin bed (no other accommodations for guests). Another case was in college where we were studying and just wanted to nap. Oh, and a third was a situation similar to the first, at the same flat. Just no room, and she didn’t want me to sleep on the floor after I offered the bed. Perhaps I should have, anyway, as I had a girlfriend at the time, but I knew nothing was going to happen. Actually, now that I think of it, I had a girlfriend both of those times. As to the OP: I’m not sure why all the details like being thousands of miles away are left off or what exactly this church stuff was. Did you meet her in person or just online? As the OP was written, I would say, yes, she’s probably interested just ask her out. Seeing as this is not possible, I am somewhat suspicious of the circumstances and have no idea. I would just write it off as maybe she’s interested but shes thousands of miles away, so what’s the point if I’m looking for love? I’d look more local. But that is me. OP has experience in this type of relationship. I have a fraction of the experience and – for _me_ – that is absolutely not worth it. Once, again, that is me. I don’t need my lover to be around me all the time, but I’d like her to be somewhat in the same area as me. If you want to know, just ask her. And even then, I’d be suspicious that it’s some sort of scam, but you can figure that part out. ---

I wound up lying in bed with a young woman in college, watching movies or just talking. It started with a small party she through, where she wound up sitting on my lap for the latter half. It wasn’t entirely platonic, but she also made it quite clear she had a boyfriend back home. We just cuddled a lot, and it was nice. Unfortunately, it also made me think that sort of physical contact was more the norm than it is, and I still miss it. ---
