… are why I’m glad we have internet boards. The other day while I was having dinner with my wife, suddenly it occurred to me that the Steve Miller song “Big Ol’ Jet Airliner” sounds a lot like “Big Ol’ Red Vagina” and a satire song would be really, really funny. So I cracked up, and my wife was like… 😕 And there was no way on earth I could tell her what I thought because I couldn’t explain why that popped into my head unbidden. Plus, she doesn’t know the song. That’s all. Mundane and pointless, like the forum says. Anyone got anything similar? ---

Some comedian had interpreted it as “Bingo got a line-on.” I can’t remember who, though. ---

I believe it was Lewis Black who did a routine that included mention of a guy who thought the phrase was “Bingo Jet Had a Light On”. The comedian wondered why anyone would think an actual airplane had a fanciful-sounding name akin to Thomas the Tank Engine. ---

The tour guide was explaining why the bottoms of champagne bottles are rounded, i.e. because a curve can handle the gas pressure better. I was standing at the back of the group and burst out laughing… Everyone looked at me like I was peculiar, a look I was all too familiar with. My mother grabbed me by the arm and shook me and demanded to know what was so funny. I told her the reason I was laughing was that I now understood why people’s butts were curved. She wasn’t amused but I was proud of my little epiphany. ---

A while ago I was playing John Madden Football on a playstation while my dog looked on. I found myself wondering if Dakota (the dog) realized that the electronic men on the TV then were playing the same game as the real men on TV every Sunday. I still wonder that every once in a while. ---

Right until this very moment, I thought it was “Big ol’ Jed and Delilah”. Sigh. Actually, I was always pretty sure that wasn’t correct, but it was the closest I could translate.
