I liked my younger brothers choice, even though it was a cop magnet. A replica kit car (Ferrari) which had to be registered as the base chasis model (Mazda). The plate read **STOLEN**. You can guess how often he got stopped.

Friend of mine is nicknamed GW, his vanity plate is “GWS VW”. Which is fine, except it’s on a Saab, since GW had to sell the VW when his first child came along.
Dude, I don’t care how much you had to pay to get the stupid plate, let it go.

A long time ago, one of the prominent NDP politicians in Ontario, who was known for confronting the Liberals and Conservatives about embarassing subjects, had the plate **NDP 007**. 🙂

I also liked the incredibly obscure one I saw several years ago, **ZVBXRPL.**
You have to be a Marx Brothers fan to recognize it. I left a note on the windshield expressing my admiration.

I used to have XXXXKXX. This was in the days when gas station attendants had to fill in charge slips with your license “number” by hand. Drove 'em crazy.

Which reminds of one I’ve seen here in CT, with the license plate 666-KXK. A quick glance makes it easy to miss that the second X is not actually a K. Since I’ve seen generic plates with 666 in them, and others with the KXK series, it’s hard to say if it was a vanity plate or a coincidence.

I’ve been tempted to get a plate in binary – like 1001010 – but to use the letter “O” instead of the digit zero. With any luck, a traffic cop writing up a ticket for me will write the wrong character instead, and I’ll get off scot-free. 😃

I’ve seen a variation of “THE CAR” that was “TAHCAH”.
That one took me a few miles to figure out.
On the way home yesterday, I saw “L1FER”. Judging by bumper stickers, they were a right-to-life advocate, but the first thing **I** thought was “Wow, I wonder when he escaped from prison?”
There’s also one in town that reads “BOOBAMA”, which always makes me think they enjoy performing on Amateur Night at the Strip Club, but is probably just an Auburn fan.
Of course, it **could** be an Auburn fan that **also** enjoys performing on Amateur Night at the Strip Club…

Er, that phrase is in the common parlance and means “orgasm face”. It’s not specific to “Office Space”.
My fave, which I had to read a couple times before laughing out loud: **O2B IZNR** (from a time before Michael Eisner, Disney’s CEO, was under constant attack by his board of directors and under pressure to resign - thus he would mainly have been known for being rich and powerful.)

In a similar vein, my dad saw one which said ATAN 666. I have seen a few other Ontario plates beginning with ATAN, so I would guess that it was actually a coincidence.

At lunch today, I saw a new Hemi Durango or some such thing from Dodge wearing plate number \*\*4 \*\* - out here, in addition to regular plates, motorcycle plates, trailer plates, RV plates, bus plates, commemorative plates, personalized plates, special interest plates, antique vehicle plates and dealer plates, we have distributor plates and manufacturer plates. Apparently, the DMV thinks Daimler Chrysler is #4.
