Actually, C6H12O6 is a generic hexose (six-carbon sugar), which includes glucose. There’s also allose, altrose, mannose, gulose, idose, galactose, and talose, all of which are aldohexoses. Then there are the ketohexoses such as fructose, psicose, sorbose, and tagatose.

I recently saw a police report cross my desk. It was a stolen vehicle report and the licence plate was STOLLYN
