I’m thinking about replacing my tube TV with an LCD HDTV. I’m aware that in order to get better results with DVD movies, you should get a “good upsampling DVD player”.

However, I currently watch my DVDs (and assorted video files) through my TV by way of a PC. When I get an HDTV I’ll be able to hook up my PC with a DVI connection straight in. Will this give me good results?

(high end)PC-monitors have higher resolution and refreshrate than anything called a (HD)TV so if you have got a halfway decent video-card and barring some exotic hardware incompatibility. You should be fine.

Ahh, makes sense. My gfx card is a Radeon 9000. A little older, but at least it’s not integrated graphics.
