# DVR Hard Drive to DVD Recording

I have a Dish HD receiver with an external HD connected. I’d like to take some of the recordings, all in HD, and copy them to DVDs. Most are 1 hour TV shows, though some may be movies.

Can I record them on regular DVDs, or do I need to use Blu Ray DVDs with a Blu ray recorder?
