If that’s your only objection, it’s possible to get the Tivo service connection via a WiFi Internet connection. There’s no phone jack near my Tivo either, so they’ll sell you a WiFi antenna that plugs into the unit and if you have a wireless network anyway (which I do) then it’s only a few minutes work to set it up and you’re good to go.

Thanks Ed, my main objection was that I had to be connected at all. I do not need nor want their service.
