Weee! Tapped the [HFS](http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/DF2010:Adamantine) for the first time ever(!), and drilled all the way down into the mantle-of-lava.

Unfortunately I now need to debate between a 120-z-level pump stack to a reasonable level for my dwarves to forge, or relocating my entire civilization into the depths of the earth, never to be seen again (especially if I dig a little deeper…).

120-level pump stack will require:
120 iron pumps
240 iron doors
1200 mined-out squares
I don’t know how much power since I’ve never done this before.

I put my odds at about half-and-half that I’ll ignite my entire fortress into a fiery inferno that slowly cools into puddles of [Melted Dwarven Fat] and obsidian.

Losing is fun!
