Oh, crap, I just saw that Outback commercial . . . I’m going from dark brown to medium auburn with highlights–that’ll include lightening the hair; adding color; adding highlights . . . No way I could do that myself. Plus, touching up roots requires more finesse and patience than I possess. ---

And I’m getting highlights tomorrow. Red ones. I have hints of natural ones but the heck with it, I’m going for it. Darkish brown hair, red highlights…great. I’ve never done anything permanent with my hair color before. I realize anything that happens is fixable, but I’m still a bit nervous. ---
