Dystopian Sci-Fi settings...centered outside of Europe, N. America, Japan?

I just added “Who Fears Death”, by Nnedi Okorafor, to my summer reading list. It is set in a post-apocalyptic Sudan. She has another novel, “Lagoon”, set in Lagos, not however a dystopian version of the city.

Not Lagos, but for dystopian Nigeria you could do worse than Gavin Chait’s Lament for the Fallen. One of my favourite books the year it came out.

Does The Year of the Angry Rabbit (Australia) count?

There’s Turkey Shoot; wealthy VIPs hunt political dissidents in a concentration camp in a fascist future Australia.

The bizarre plane in Beyond Thunderdome is also a Transavia Pl-12 Airtruk, a uniquely Australian crop duster.

The Netflix show "3%"is post-apocalyptic TV series set in Brazil, where the elites have fled to a paradiscal island while the urban mainland was just sort of left to die.
