I received a kindle paperwhite a few days ago and signed up for kindle unlimited. It’s pretty good.

Any advice on how best to use it, whether in its settings or use?

I have a Kindle, but I almost never use it. Reading on my iPad is a better reading experience, plus I have everything else that the tablet can do as well.

True, the Kindle is a lot better if I’m trying to read outside or in direct sunlight. But, well, I almost never do that. I do my reading indoors, 99.9% of the time.

I have a Kindle paperwhite, specifically the Voyage model with the very important “Origami cover.” It folds itself into a stand, so I can put the kindle on a table/ airplane tray/ bar.

I also have a Fire 10, which kind of stinks. Bad battery life, screen is too shiny, so there’s lots of glare.

I’m currently testing out a Kindle Oasis, 9th generation. It and the current 10th generation have “7 inch” screens, if your ruler isn’t all that accurate.

Odd shape with a bulge on one side and the rest thin.

I am concerned about the battery capacity. The smaller 8th gen had terrible battery endurance and needed a “charging” cover to keep it going for any still-not-really-decent time. The new models don’t even have the “charging” cover.

The usual stupid stuff: A lot of settings are too limited to get into my comfort zone. E.g., I have the line spacing set as minimal and it’s still waaay too widely spaced.

But the price and size was good. Oh, well.
