Yeah, that got my attention, too. But the full quote (which somehow came up with a reference for the statement) is even more revealing:

> [@Conservapedia (apparently](#):
>
> “Generally speaking, leading evolutionists generally no longer debate creation scientists because creation scientists tend to win the debates.[sup][5][/sup]”

Why, that’d be just like those evilutionists . . . slinking away when they know they can’t win.

That article reminds me of [this](http://www.theonion.com/articles/evangelical-scientists-refute-gravity-with-new-int,1778/) one. I love how they always dateline these articles somewhere in Kansas.

Who cares. The whole thing is stupid, and some people find that funny. Deal with it.

Mainly because you lefties a) don’t know where either are located, or what they’re for, and b) can’t shoot for shit. You’re infinitely more likely to shoot yourselves in the foot.

I used to attend a _So Conservative They Be Whacko_ Fundie Church (seriously, that was the denomination – First Church of Fundie!), and they would LOVE to rewrite the Bible to get rid of all those pesky Socialist verses.

Instead they just ignored half of what Jesus said. I know we all do that to an extent, but these folks? Whoa…

Seriously, plunk them down in Biblical times at the Sermon On The Mount, and I picture them all with their fingers in their ears “La la LAAAA la la…”

– I mean, if \*I \*were there I’d be the guy saying “Blessed are the … _Cheesemakers_?”-- but i’d at least be _trying_…

The fact that I did not ignore Jesus is why I thought I was a conservative. I mean, I was always taught that all Christians must be conservatives. Since I agreed with Jesus (and Paul), I must also be conservative.

That is, until I started reading what conservatives actually believed. About the only thing they had going for them was their pro-life stance, and I even found that was one thing that I was not absolute on. I just couldn’t see any place in the Bible where human life must start at conception.

Ironically, it is now my Christianity that seems to slip–when I get angry. It’s a flaw I’ve always had, but it just didn’t happen often enough for me to care. And you know what happens when it does happen? I wind up being, if not actually conservative, more totalitarian–the other opposite of liberal.

Gah–I’ve went so far from the OP, I’d better stop, before I get in GD territory.

Eh, I know quite a few lefties who can put 8/10 in the X-ring at the range every time, watch where you’re painting with that brush.

The reason you don’t want to shoot the Schlaflys is that you’re vanishingly unlikely to hit Phyllis’ phylactery anyway.

Dang, that has got to be the most whack sentence ever…not only does it invoke Lovecraftian prose, but it also injects a little alliteration. (I did it too, see?)

So, a serious question: at what point CAN you throw someone out of your tent for disagreeing with you and your platform? Do we need a new word for “fiscal conservative who hates social conservatives?”
