Last year WWE of all companies annoyed the fuck out of me by using pink ring ropes for a month. I hope they don’t do that again, but looks like we’ll find out on monday. :rolleyes: Anyone who isn’t aware of breast cancer by now is a moron, leave the rest of us the fuck alone. Breast cancer is bad. I hope people that get it get proper treatment. I hope the Komen people and their ilk go to hell. ---

I have given up on buying any -support this cause- type stuff because I have little faith that more than a pittance of the money will actually go to “the cause”. I dOnt mind buying stuff I want and that money going to pay anything that goes into running a company but I refuse to be guilted into buying something I dont want because it has been labled with some cause (and is more than likely helping to make some ceo rich). Same with charities - no money from me unless it is provable that the majority of what is given actually goes to the cause. ---

My Mom hated that pink stuff, and she was an official Breast Cancer Survivor. The worst (for her) came when the NFL started it. I got a phone call most Sundays about it. ---

One of the propane companies here has a truck that’s painted pink. From the side, it’s a big pink propane truck, ribbon and all. From the rear, looking at the end of the capsule-shaped tank, with a gauge or a pressure valve right in the center of the dome, it’s like following a big pink tit on a truck. ---

Not exactly what you were talking about, but a real problem. Seems a bit… forced. I don’t think public non/acceptance is the major factor in most women deciding to breastfeed. I also have never seen anyone object if mom was reasonably discreet about it (using a shawl or blanket, etc.) I suppose you can make a case that a woman flapping a bare, dripping boob around in full public view should be acceptable, but I don’t fail to understand the counter argument. ---

While we’re at it, what’s with all the walks? Walk for the cure, etc. They could sell candy bars, or candles, or wrapping paper or something, but instead it’s “Give me $20 and I promise you I will take a pleasant stroll through the park”. Such courage, such dedication. If going for a walk fights breast cancer then my dog deserves some sort of humanitarian prize. ---

If the Senate can put up a rule saying “we’re filibustering now” without actually, you know, talking or anything, it seems to me that a lot of money and time could be saved by creating a “we’re running now” or “we’re walking now” rule for these fundraisers.
