# Ear candling does not remove ear wax

Question: why do you need to stick a candle in your ear to relax? If that’s all that candling is good for, why not just listen to some music and maybe burn the candle on a stand so you can watch the pretty flame?

I no longer have a wife. We got divorced a few years after that post. We remain very close friends and the Dope had nothing to do with the breakup.
