In the IMHO section, in the thread “The Q-Tip Orgasm”, several Dopers have been chatting about the orgasm-like feelings they experience when they clean their ears with Q-tips.

We can presume that this is possible, so I’m curious to know:

1. Why does it happen?

and 2. Is this something that happens mostly to women?
