Somewhere in the middle, like the High Middle Ages (circa 1000-1300). Although I suspect the term exists because “Middle Middle Ages” sounds stupid. ---

A simple, unimaginative, but perhaps useful option is to simply label them “A”, “B”, “C” and “D” (or 1,2,3,4) A version of that with more panache would be “Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta” or, if you want it to make it tacticool “Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta” ---
