Early, Middle, Advanced, Late
“High” should be in there somewhere.
Where would “high” fit as a temporal descriptor (or am I being whooshed?)
Somewhere in the middle, like the High Middle Ages (circa 1000-1300). Although I suspect the term exists because “Middle Middle Ages” sounds stupid.
Raw, rare, well done, burned.
A simple, unimaginative, but perhaps useful option is to simply label them “A”, “B”, “C” and “D” (or 1,2,3,4)
A version of that with more panache would be “Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta”
or, if you want it to make it tacticool “Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta”
Generic delineations of time is what I am after for the project.
I am not sure yet if I need to delineate the Modern Age, but I have to be able too with the word I pick.
Oh! I like!

Silver Age
Bronze Age (or Copper Age)

What would it be for anthropology?
