Anyone else feel the earthquake this morning? I was in bed and thought I was having back spasms, but it felt weird so I sat up and the rest of the bed was shaking too. Even still I just dismissed it as the furnace…

I was about 35 miles from the epicenter here in rural northeastern New York. I’m usually a very heavy sleeper, but this morning it jolted me out of bed. I instinctually jumped onto my legs (which takes about a half hour to do on regular mornings :). Half-asleep, I realized what was going on, and about ten seconds later when the tremors stopped I got back into bed and went to sleep.

I live near palve, just a few miles away. I however, was driving at the time from albany and didn’t notice it. oh well.
