Does anyone know an easy or simplified radio news broadcast in spanish (which is available online)?

The reason I ask is that [RFI](http://www.rfi.fr/lffr/statiques/accueil_apprendre.asp) has “le journal en français facile,” the easy French newspaper (give or take) which I’ve found helpful in the past for listening comprehension and building vocabulary.

I would like to find a similar program to assist with my Spanish. Any ideas?

Don’t you wish? I’m stuck playing Family Feud (¿Qué Dice La Gente?) with the captions on and my wife translating.

Outside of program’s that are meant of educational purposes, have you tried [BBC Mundo](http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/spanish/news/)? Or how about [EFE](http://www.efe.com/principal.asp?opcion=0&idioma=ESPANOL?)?

If you find those sites a bit too up on the vocab grade level, post back. 🙂

My homepage has been [BBC Mundo](http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/spanish/news/) for the past several months and it’s helping me a lot. I force myself to read through at least the headlines and one article before I can do anything else online.

Do you know any Spanish? Are you starting from scratch? (If so, the above site might be a little difficult).

I had 4 years of high school Spanish (a while back) and am at about 50%. I can pretty much read most of the articles on that site, so it is really encouraging.

I hope someone knows of something easier, though!

(I bookmarked that French news site. I hardly know any French, but I think this may be one of the best ways to learn. I will dig out my dictionary.)

No.

Yeah, me too. I’d like something that’s a little more focused on helping the listener learn / hone their ear like the RFI link. But the BBC Mundo will do in a pinch (don’t know why I didn’t think of it honestly). Thanks for the site, **ChicanoRojo**.

I’d definitely be open to any other suggestions though - especially if someone knows anything more like the RFI link.

How about [Univision, Spanish language TV station, with coverage on US news?](http://www.univision.com/content/channel.jhtml?chid=3&schid=160) Since this is US news, you might still be able to decipher the content.

:smack: You did say “radio”, didn’t you. In the title, no less. Sorry.

I would be even more excited to see some sites for that, then. I am really horrible at understanding spoken Spanish.

Off to Googleland.
