At the risk of denying all of us such a rich and enlightening voice of rantage, maybe it would be a good thing to try some other form of relaxation? Like being a Chicago cop, or maybe Ohare air traffic controller?

Um, I mean this in the nicest possible way, and I don’t want to be the target of the wrath of **jarbabyj** [sup]TM[/sup], but are you pulling the old loop off the stick after you pull the new loop through it?

Assuming that’s not the problem, pull a lot of yarn out of the skein, so it’s sitting loose in your lap, and then knit until you get close enough to the skein that it’s starting to tighten up again, then repeat.

You could always switch to needlepoint, except then we’d have a violent **jarbabyj** with a sharp object in hand…
