No, I do no fucking want to link my YouTube and Google accounts! Apparently, Google has decided they wish to be evil. Motherfucker! I have a whole bunch of different YouTube accounts because each serves a different purpose. I don’t care that Google bought YouTube except that they are pushing this one login shit! They have made it fucking MANDATORY! Now, if I want to check my different YouTube accounts, I have to log out of whatever other Google I happen to be using, otherwise it will oh so fucking helpfully log me out! ---

Screenshot of said option or it doesn’t exist. How about using different Firefox profiles for your other channels? That should keep cookie separate and make switching easier. ---

I see what you mean now. The solution is simple, just make new Gmail accounts, one for each Youtube account. I just created a new YouTube account and that’s all I had to do. Scratch that, I now see what you really mean. Meh. Enjoy your outrage. ---

If I wish to check my YouTube accounts, I wind up accidentally logging out of my Google account. ---

I agree, it sucks. But now I just use different browsers–one logged into my normal gmail/doc account, the other into youtube. ---

They are doing it because it makes them money on advertisements. They are not just throwing out charity. They are a business, and they are making their customers unhappy. Of course the customers can complain. BTW: the reason I don’t believe Google is evil is that, the last time they did something evil, I (and some others) were actually able to convince them to be better. I don’t find it a coincidence that, in their reply to TV Tropes, they covered exactly the complaints we had, changing their policies to be nicer. ---

If my email required a 27 word password, then I’d either accept it and make one, or find a new email provider. I wouldn’t complain about it (other then maybe a small grumble to myself). As for youtube making money, last I heard it’s quite the opposite really - they are losing quite a bit of money (as in, billions if you count the money they spent to buy it) and have been the whole time. They hoped to make some money in 2010 but I can’t find anything which says if that worked out for them or not. So while I guess technically you are correct they aren’t doing it for charity - they are trying to make money. However so far they have been basically doing it for free (and if your videos don’t have ads, they are still doing it for free for you). ---

At least they gave the Facebook share button back. I don’t care if Google and Facebook want to have all out war in the streets over Facebook wanting an email service, I just want to be able to share ‘Break My Stride’ by Matthew Wilder when the mood strikes me. ---
