Reporting a post is not junior modding. And **Sapo** was begging for it, as you very well know. I know this is not Metafilter, but I have to note that I might not have bothered to post in this thread at all, but my beans were taking _forever_ to soften. ---

Since when is reporting a post considered junior modding? What I’m seeing here is a don’t snitch mentality. Y’all are climbing on **hawthorne** because he reported a post that he believed to be troublesome. That is what posters are encouraged to do. ---

As you note yourself, above, \*\*Lynn \*\*would obviously be aware of the post \*\*Hawthorne \*\*reported. So, in reporting it, he was accomplishing nothing other than identifying himself as a poster who took offense, not so much at the post itself, but at **Sapo** ’s posting style. It was a lame, suckup, unnecessary act. ---

Like Sapo or not, he generated traffic. Traffic generates revenue. Revenue provides for a better board with more/'better features. Yet this board is sometimes reluctant to allow the moderators to take a few lumps, even in the pit where the rules allow (or maybe not anymore) for a few dog bites. I think the mods are generally very good at what they do here. If the admin and the busybodies would just leave them alone… Hawthorne, people like you are helping to kill a good thing. ---

He just couldn’t wait for the mods to respond on their own and had to bring their attention to it quick. ---

iI suspect they’ll claim the reason will be “he was being a jerk” I’d specifically asked (as some one pointed out a few pages ago " is stuff like FOAD a threat under board rules" and was told “No” ---

1. While I haven’t discussed it with **Dex** , I can pretty well assure you that he wasn’t acting on \*\*hawthorne’s \*\*report. 2. We don’t allow suspended posters to post by proxy. I’m certain \*\*bb \*\*know this. \*\*bb \*\*is lucky (so far) that he only got a warning for for posting \*\*Sapo’s \*\*remarks. He’s got quite a record. 3. Reporting a post is not junior modding. 4. This thread was started by a poster who is currently suspended. The current discussion has nothing at all to do with the original topic.
