(Actually, I really enjoyed his work as the voice of “Donkey,” it really works. But it’s the only film work he’s done _since the eighties_ which wasn’t absolute shite.) Bringing Eddie Murphy in to host the Oscars would have been just a haaaair away from putting Rob Schneider up there. ---

If _Norbit_ hadn’t been released in the same year, he would have won Best Supporting Actor. ---

My vote for host goes to Neil Patrick Harris, although wouldn’t Joel McHale be a hoot. or Jimmy Fallon or Craig Ferguson. Gervais would be memorable, but not a snowball’s chance in hell of him getting it. But the Muppets must make an appearance. ---
