# Editing

Is there a reason I can’t edit my own messages? I try, and it makes me sign in, but won’t accept my login.

Yes, editing is disabled for ordinary mortals (Mods and Admins can do it).

Wouldn’t really be a good idea if somebody was able to edit a comment they had made in a debate **after** other people had answered it.

Right, my bad. I guess I hadn’t really put much thought into the fact that this thread was centered around argument. Sleazy rhetors…Thanks Mangetout.
