I’ve never even heard about the One Chip Challenge chip.

As long as we’re not talking immediately about burritos, I made tacos dorados last night. Just ground beef and taco seasoning for the filling. They seemed to be taking longer than usual to turn ‘dorado’, so I stepped away for a minute. Everyone knows the punchline. Actually, that side wasn’t too done. Well, they were, but The Wife likes them super crispy. She had hers with Trader Joe’s Taco sauce, shredded cheese, and sour cream; and I had mine with Trader Joe’s Taco Sauce, sour cream, and shredded cheese.

Hey, it was either that or left-over pot roast. Since she doesn’t cook, then today will have made three nights of pot roast for dinner.

Depends on if one or both of the ends are tucked in or not, either sushi, quiche or calzone.

Love the cube rule @MrDibble!

Although based on my reading, a ‘traditional’ hotdog would therefore be either a sandwich (if the bread separated), or a taco, or for people with a poor, unsubstantial sausage, soup/salad/quiche. The fools.

😜

A taco, what kind of monster separates the roll?

> A ‘taco’ that uses a flour tortilla is a ‘Taco Bell’ taco. As a native Southern Californian, tacos were never served on flour tortillas, except at fast food quasi-‘Mexican’ places.

I’ll tell you what - [El Pollo Loco](https://www.elpolloloco.com/our-food/streettacos) tacos are surprisingly good. I’m not generally one for flour tortillas either, but I make an exception for those chicken avocado tacos. And for a corporate monolith they make a surprisingly restaurant-quality guacamole. Or at least the one close to me does. I’m talking better than a lot of authentic mom-n-pop taqueria’s guacamole. Chunky, hand-made, hand-spiced and hence variable, but always quality.

They pretty much shit all over Taco Bell by comparison.

_chuckles_

I was referring to a current thread, brought to mind by @k9bfriender’s post asking about hot dogs, which shares a few posters -

> [@Why no nationwide hot dog chains?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/why-no-nationwide-hot-dog-chains/959259/148):
>
> In Ontario, a hot dog bun is a separate top and bottom half. Although sometimes connected by a thin bridge of bun, this often breaks, allowing a “free Willy” situation. In Quebec, hot dog buns are a single bun with a slit in the top. It’s more practical, since the hot dog cannot escape. Don’t even ask Canadians about bags of milk - available in most provinces.

And applying the cube rule to it.
