In other royal news… Muhammad Ali, son of deposed Egyptian king Fuad II and crown prince to the now-defunct thrown of Egypt, [has announced his engagement](http://www.khaama.com/afghan-kings-granddaughter-marries-prince-muhammad-of-egypt-1718)to Princess Noal Zaher, a granddaughter of Zahir Shah, the last king of Afghanistan (her father was Zahir Shah’s fifth son). They plan to marry in Istanbul. ---

Nitpick: The people are Afghans. Afghani is the unit of currency in Afghanistan. ---

Do either of these ex-royals have any money? I don’t think King Zahir Shah had a lot-he blew most of it living in exile. And its hard to think of a slob like Farouk leaving anything-he ate it up!
