# eHarmony.com tells me I'm undatable ... huh?

Well, I feel like a total tool. I took the eHarmony test to see if it would deem me beyond the dating pale as well, and it said “Congratulations…blah…blah…blah.” I read the personality profile and while it was fairly accurate, I looked at it and said, “Wow, I sound like a perfect little doormat.” That is to say, I’m not a doormat, but the constant repetition of my moderation, conciliatory nature, amenable to new experiences etc. personality traits made it sound like I am. I also answered with my liberal hat on, although that already seems to have been disproved as a reason for exclusion.
Anyway, I am married, but obviously that wouldn’t have worked to fill in as my status, so I put that I was widowed, and filled my husband in as my favourite thing, most influential person, etc (right after Douglas Adams) and I received a half dozen or so matches and requests for contact.
Which is why I feel like a tool, thinking about some poor guy looking at my profile imagining some hot 25 year old widow with doormat tendencies (‘course you know how “doormats” snap, that might be how I was widowed [in this parallel dating universe], in which case maybe these guys aren’t too bright/imaginative) out there lookin’ for love and getting their hopes up.
So I went to the website and closed my account, but I feel like a click-tease.
