Eight'll get you Ten Mini-rants for October

I can’t imagine how whiny they would be if there was a blizzard on Halloween. They probably plotz in their costumes.

Heh, Halloween 1991 blizzard here in Minneapolis. We still had a slew of trick or treaters.

When I was way younger, I had to take my little cousin out trick or treating in a blizzard. It was amazing how many other people were out during it.

We hardy Great Plains people won’t let something like a little ol’ blizzard keep us from our precious candy.

A month ago, I applied for a programming position at a gigantic company. Since then, I’ve had four phone interviews and a three-day trip to Michigan. Everything went swimmingly, and they sent me an offer that I’ve accepted.

Now they’re doing the background check. I’ve spent the last two days faxing tax documents to verify my employment history. But they’re not satisfied and I don’t know what else I can do. This is so frustrating!

My Halloween rant: the first trick or treater we got was some kid all by himself going from house to house while dad drives slowly up the street keeping an eye on him. JFC are you that fucking lazy that you can’t park the car and get out and walk with your kid? I felt sorry for the poor kid… No friends to trick or treat with and dad won’t even walk with him.

Ha! A critical consideration for any Halloween costume in the Great White North is whether it can fit over a snowsuit.

This thread has exceeded its lifespan. Time to turn the rants up to eleven, isn’t it?
