Did Einstein really make some version of the above quote?

I’ve seen it attributed to him in articles about the Theory of Relativity, and I’ve never heard any one dispute it, so I’ve always assumed it’s true.

A bumper sticker has a picture of Einstein and a quote ‘You Cannot Prepare for and Prevent War.’ This seems such a dumb thing to say, that I wonder if Einstein could have said any such thing.

If you disagree, then I suppose you would say that we cannot have police and prevent crime.
