I stumbled onto this horrifying event a few months ago and **[mentioned it](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/tell-us-an-interesting-random-fact-you-stumbled-across-part-2/1004785/235)** in the “interesting random fact” thread.

I’m not surprised at all that the new Dastard in Chief wants to resurrect it.
