Keep your shirt down and your socks up. Two birds, meet one stone. Looks to me like they would work, possibly uncomfortable, though? Also, pretty danged geeky. Have you ever worn them? Whatever combination of shirt/pants/belt/underwear I’ve been wearing for the past few months has meant my shirt comes untucked constantly. While something like this might help (though for me it’s the back that’s the problem), I’d be living in constant fear that it would slip off my sock and come rocketing up my pant leg. That metal clasp looks like it could hurt. Also, what happens when you sit down? ---

They also make a version where, instead of a long strap down to your sock, it has short straps that attach to a garter around your thigh. ---

Yeah. I wear these with my uniform shirts. Works great. My Daddy used them. I assumed it was from years in the Military. He had a beer belly toward his late 70s, tho’. I can’t imagine they were all that uncomfortable. After you get used to them. ---

Excluding the repeatedly mentioned military uniform case, in which this kind of tidiness is highly encouraged by the culture. But again, if someone considers this a form of mental illness, they wouldn’t adapt to the military lifestyle anyway. ---

The last time I tucked a shirt into my pants had to have been over 15 years ago, and the only socks I wear are footie socks. The product shown in the OP isn’t for me! ---

Although I would love to see you in untucked shirt, (preferably Hawaiian), shorts, footy socks and the sock stays. That is garb I would “judge” as awesome and for the wearer would have nothing but respect. On another note, the sock length stays look like they could put someone’s eye out if there was a wardrobe malfunction. ---

I always tuck my polos into my bermudas. I do wear footie sox w shorts. I’m at a beachfront bar / grille right now, having powered through drinks & wings, and after this post it’s time for a swim & sunbathe. My nylon workout polo is tucked into my board shorts. Which will all be removed soon for sunning / swimming. Got it? Flaunt it. Don’t got it? Flaunt it anyhow. The SoFL motto. 🙂 ---

I’m old enough that I started wearing “hose” before panty hose was popular (about a year). The problem with garter belts was that the garter clasps were on the front and back of your leg, so when you were sitting, the clasp would dig into the bare skin of your thigh. I was never so happy as I was to give up stockings and garters and go to panty hose. Except when I went to going bare legged! ---

When dressed in full formal wear (white tie and tails), if you really want to impress the snobs, you don’t wear normal shoes and socks. You wear patent-leather pumps, and silk hose. The silk looks good, but it doesn’t have much elastic. In order to keep them from sagging around your ankles, you traditionally wear knee garters and suspenders to hold them up. It occurs to me that a formal event would be a lousy place for singles to hook up. Once you get your pants off, and the other person sees you wearing [these](https://www.amazon.com/Bexicsea-Adjustable-Elastic-Garters-Suspenders/dp/B0BS3Y6R3M/) underneath, it might inspire more laughter than lust. ---
