As the OP says “If McCain loses, Republicans will blame the media, and fear Obama’s radicalism, socialism, and promise financial collapse.” Yeah, that kind of sums it up…even though I’m not really a Republican…and I guess I wouldn’t _promise_ financial collapse, more like I’d fear a big long-term financial downturn. But other than that it sums it up Well since W has been in 1 % of the population has as much money as the bottom 50. They have as much wealth as bottom 90. Yep. I think we should spread it out a bit. ---

After a lifetime of rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals, I’ve learned not to get my hopes up about _anything_. 🙂 In this particular case I’m trying to avoid the news, but I’m not very successful at ignoring news or, for that matter, Dope threads on the topic. By the way, after 2000 and 2004 it seems to me impossible to know anything about the candidates through the media narratives about them. ---

McCain is down around 15 at **Intrade**. I considered hedging my bets today and putting $60 on McCain. It’s still suck but I could buy a lot of comfort for $400.
