The two House race sites I follow are both slowly trending Democratic. It’ll be quite a while before we know for sure, but at least that’s one hope. ---

That would be a very minor silver lining to an awful night. Even a very small Democratic majority could make a big difference in limiting what Trump can actually do (assuming he wants to do anything). ---

I’m not sure why this isn’t the same as in 2020. It seems like Harris is in striking distance with a ton of votes to count. Usually the counties that take the longest to count are the most populous, which usually are heavily or relatively more democratic. Can anyone point me to something quantifying how this is different from the same point in 2020? ---
