Twice in the last 50 years, if we’re comparing elected Presidents (i.e. not Ford). 3 times in the last century. IMO that’s very rare. YMMV. This is a real achievement. If you want to focus on the negative, feel free, but I won’t indulge you. ---

I know this is the political equivalent of my sitting in the back seat incessantly asking, “Are we there yet?” but my nerves are shot now: When do we expect the various state ballot counts to be concluded, or at least far enough along to be called by at least some credible media outlets? ---

All he can really do is fire him from the COVID task force. Trump doesn’t have the authority to fire him from the NHI. Fauci is protected by those pesky civil service regulations – intended exactly to stop such politically-motivated firings. I think it’s the biggest reason Trump signed his EO to do away with them for federal employees in 3 months (or at some point in the future, I forget exactly when). ---

I think the news networks should announce/call the winner of the election at 3AM Eastern so that people wake up to it and perhaps the immediate reaction will be less violent. That’s the kind of world we are in right now. ---
