From what I understand, they are to be kept separate, and are allowed to be processed, not added to the count at this time. ---

Trump has been railing against these votes, and he knows that these votes are likely to lean heavily toward Biden, but if Trump’s behind then the only way to possibly catch up is to count the votes. Meanwhile, in the House: I’ve heard lots of analysis this week on how the Dems managed to lose seats, and heard the same reason repeatedly: the “socialist!” charge really stuck. If that’s true, don’t expect to see much of AOC & the Squad for the next few years; that’s not the face of the party anybody wants to see. ---

I think it’s also true that many people are worried about the economy and voted for downticket Republicans, but couldn’t stomach 45 and voted against him. ---
