NBC was reporting that after the weekend, Trump’s people will try to explain that it is hopeless and he should find a way to leave without conceding. As so many have said in the White House, it’s kind of like dealing with a toddler. ---

It is interesting- no matter how many time I have to post it- The Trail of Tears occurred during the corrupt **Van Buren** administration, not Jacksons. As far as the fact that Jackson got rid of the Second Bank of the USA, it was used to take him down- wiki- _At Biddle’s direction, the Bank poured thousands of dollars into a campaign to defeat Jackson, seemingly confirming Jackson’s view that it interfered in the political process_ As far as jackson and the economy _The national economy following the withdrawal of the remaining funds from the Bank was booming and the federal government through duty revenues and sale of public lands was able to pay all bills. But the bank had no business trying to meddle in elections, Jackson quite properly shut it down.
