Biden was a bit down on my list. As time went on, i grew to believe he would be the best choice. Today I was remembering his statement of “ I’ll beat him like a drum”. It will be lovely to have humour back at the White House, and vp elect has a real joy. ---

I just have to take a second and say thanks for sharing this with all of us. It sounds like you and your wife are wonderful parents and have delightful kids. I just spent 30 minutes arguing with a Vietnamese man (in Vietnam) who’s strongly pro-Trump and who insisted the election isn’t over until the Supreme Court rules. This is the second such argument I’ve had with a Vietnamese citizen. I’d forgotten how popular Trump is in Vietnam, where he’s viewed as tough on China. ---

The SNL opening sketch was OK. It parodied Biden’s and Harris’s victory speeches from earlier tonight. Also had Alec Baldwin on as Trump singing a sad, mournful version of _Macho Man_. 🤔 Anyway, I haven’t been all that enamored of Jim Carrey portraying Joe Biden this season, so it was fairly meh for me. ---

Bah! This is one of those rare moments when I’m sorry I don’t have a TV and am not super-clever regarding the internet. Hulu or Netflix (I forget which, doesn’t matter as I have both) will show SNL’s show later and I’ll watch it on my computer then. But damn, I would enjoy watching it on a big screen live right now. ---
