If we want to get pedantic about it (and I want to, because it’s fun), a slate of electors {A, B, C and D} is different than a slate of electors {A, B, C and E}. ---

ACK! Yeah, I forgot all about the faithless five dem electors (and two rep?) in '16. If you want to be pedantic fine. The state’s slate of electors includes replacements in case they are needed if the state’s rules allow for such a thing. So they send slate {A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H} (as an example…I don’t know all the details). Only {A, B, C, D} get to vote unless one (or more) breaks the rules and an alternate takes their place. There is no time to phone home and have another one sent. They are all sent at the same time. So, one slate even if an individual gets removed and an alternate put in. Lile a relief quarterback. They are on the team roster. They travel with the team but they don’t usually get to play. ---

Your argument remains pathetic. If you want to continue to make misstatements, have them pointed out, and remain ignorant of why you’re wrong - feel free to continue. I’m not interested in serving as your personal tutor. You’ve provided plenty of positive contributions to this and other election-related subjects that I’ve enjoyed - but your refusal to acknowledge misunderstandings and errors is obnoxious and really detracts from the rest of the board. I apologize to everyone else that’s been subject to this ridiculous hijack. Bush did not make a mistake that anyone might because they are human. The drive to war was willful, intentional and they purposely mislead the American public and congress.
