And you don’t want to leave yourself open to a charge of bias, denying someone the process they are due, having predetermined a case/issue… So IME it is generally the best practice to give the atty some amount of time to do their song and dance, even if you KNOW it is just wasting your time, and will have NO EFFECT on the outcome. You can think the attorney is an idiot or a jerk, but no reason to say so. The REALLY tricky thing, is when the atty is a jerk, to not take it out on the claimant. ---

Arizona update: 8823 ballots “ready for tabulation” in Pima, Maricopa, and Cochise Counties. 5505 provisional ballots left in Apache, Maricopa, and Yuma Counties. 1710 “waiting for signature verification” in Apache, Maricopa, and Yuma Counties. These are likely not going to be counted since the “curing” deadline has passed. All said and done probably ~12k-13k left to count. Biden’s lead is just north of 11k. Seems safe, and likely to avoid mandatory recount (either 200 votes or 0.1%=~3400 votes depending on how you read the rules). ---

And to reiterate: states do not “call” the election. They will declare a winner when the vote is certified (every vote is counted and any required audits and recounts are finished). Media outlets “call” elections. The statutory certification date for Arizona is 11/30. I have heard that essentially all votes will have been processed by the end of the weekend. I’d expect the 8823 votes “ready for tabulation” to be done sometime tomorrow (possibly this evening for Maricopa County) along with updates regarding provisional ballots remaining.
