Leave to amend is denied. “Among the grounds that could justify a denial of leave to amend are undue delay, bad faith, dilatory motive,prejudice and futility”. ---

Oh yeah… he was straining not to go apeshit on them; it’s pretty clear in his language that he was _this close_ to outright calling it all frivolous and a waste of the court’s time. ---

Now THIS is interesting. Not five minutes ago I was standing at a flats-sorting machine to attend to a configuration issue. On the desk nearby I happened see an envelope with an absentee ballot that never got to its intended recipient in Irvine, CA. The postage was done on a postage meter, and was undated, so I don’t know if the voter had an opportunity to request a replacement (I hope she did). The ballot had been sent by the Wayne County Board of Elections. (in Wooster, Ohio) ---
