In any other circumstance, I would say “Maybe _now_ you’ll get it. You understand now that you’re swearing allegiance to a guy who would throw you into a trash compacter the second you cease to be of any use to him. Now you understand.” Nahhhh. Except the Raff guy is no longer one of his supporters. Supporters support Der Führer no matter what, even in the Big Lie. Since the Raff guy is not supporting Der Führer in what counts, by refusing to throw the election, the Raff guy is not a supporter, but an enemy, and deserves to be taken out. From Der Führer’s perspective, it’s all very clear and rational. Note that other GOP Gauleiters properly understand that their duty is to support Der Führer no matter what, and to pressure the Raff guy to throw the election. ---
