Notice that the speech was posted on Twitter — I guess he’s out of Time out. I wouldn’t be surprised if recording this video was Twitter‘s condition for reinstating his account. Shoot, I wouldn’t be surprised if they wrote it. It is nothing like any speech he’s ever given in the past five years. ---

But if he is in the process of being impeached for sedition, can he pardon himself? I mean, I get the idea of him pardoning himself being legal is an open question. 25th would forestall that but not sure about impeaching. ---

The only punishment provided by impeachment is removal from office and barring from future office. So I believe he could pardon himself at any point for anything until he is removed. ---

Dunno. But the odds of getting around 17 Republican senators to vote guilty are somewhat higher than before, and certainly worth a try. Basically, do both. 25th and impeach. ---
