Why was this one moved? It was a new story, so there weren’t that many facts to relate beyond the link in the OP. But it seemed like a good place to have further discussion as more facts come out, like in post #17. But now it’s in the Pit, which seemed unnecessary to me. ---

I read the OP, and didn’t notice any connection to an election, so I thought it was just mistakenly opened in the wrong forum. I reported it as I sometimes report threads I think opened in the wrong place. In my defense, it was late and I was sleepy, which is a super shitty defense. In my further defense, once I read further, I reported it a second time, saying, “Never mind, I’m a goddamned moron.” But maybe the damage was done by then. I agree, this does look like elections material. ---

I was a bit surprised to see it moved to the Pit, since the OP was just straight-up noting the story. But looking at that thread now, quite a few responses were more in line with the Pitting the subject rather than discussing it. I guess it was: No debate offered; people ranting about the subject; get thee to a Pittery. ---

Every reply (except Quartz’s) could have been classified as joke or rant, so I wouldn’t say that thread was “within the norm”. I’m sure **tom** wrestled with his decision before taking action and tapping the thread out to the Pit. ---
