# Electoral College abolished-how would campaigning be different?

There’s literally millions of poor Democratic-leaning voters in those states that don’t vote regularly. There are also Republican voters who don’t vote for the same reason, of course, but I see no evidence that there are more such Republican voters than Democratic voters.

My hypothesis is that people like to vote for a winner. People don’t like to vote for a loser. So if you know that your candidate is going to lose your state, the inertia to get off the couch and go vote is harder to overcome.
