Does it give the women more freedom to travel? If so perhaps this is a program will end up with the opposite effect. Which is worse, being denied travel or allowed to travel with tracking? I’m sure that this program will allow more women to be able to travel and interact with others, and that seems like a good step.
Oppression of women has been very ingrained into that society, and it would be difficult for things to change instantly (much like black oppression after slavery was abolished - it took perhaps 100 years for most of the outright discrimination againt blacks to end), but just perhaps this bit of technology will allow a healing of that rift, enable men to trust and respect women more. And with technology changing a lot quicker then it did during slavery, hopefully and prayerfully that process can be speeded up. -IMHO
Yes because the entire Saudi community is not on this board. If she had said YOU had a tiny dick, she would have been warned, and rightfully so. Just because you are Arab (if you are) and she says “Arabs have tiny dicks” doesn’t mean anything, unless she said it right after you said you were Arab.
I came to post that your supposedly helpful little comment was less than. You can’t call people a “disrespectful whelp” and then tell them “that’s not nice” like they were three. Well, you can, but they won’t listen. And there’s nothing stopping any of us from insulting all Saudi men, who keep their women prisoner and slaves because they have dicks.
That’s very mature. If you cannot deal with us like an adult I don’t see you as fit to discuss with. Unlike others on this board I am not content to keep banging my head on a brick wall hoping it will learn.
What, that Saudis keep their women prisoner merely because they have penises? Is that better? I didn’t call them dicks, I just pointed out that was the reasoning.
I have no interest in annihilating Arab countries. I have no interest in annihilating anyone. I remember they are human, which is something Saudis don’t seem to be doing for their women.
And please remember I am specifically referring to Saudis. Stop extrapolating to all Arabs.
Since when are Saudi men all Arab men? Saudi men treat women like cattle. If they wanted to change these disgusting laws they could. Until they do anything with a vagina should stay away from them. Why would any sane grown woman want to be around a man who was comfortable with laws turning mature adult women into seven year olds in need of constant direct supervision?
Seven year olds have more autonomy! I thank my lucky stars every time I hear about more atrocities in Saudi Arabia that I wasn’t born there, that I was born in India, which while it has its problems, welcomes girl children far more.
I’m perfectly comfortable with insulting a society where women are treated like children. It’s not overgeneralizing to express disgust at a such a country. Saudi laws on women insult all women everywhere. As a woman and the mother of two daughters why shouldn’t I take offense at such laws and the men who refuse to change them?
So why do you insult me? I am no longer living in Arab countries. But it really hurts me when someone thinks all Arabs are misogynist and backwards. Do I deserve feeling so bad by your insults, just because I come from the same country with these backwards people?
