The Blue Whale of Catoosa is a waterfront structure, just east of the American town of Catoosa, Oklahoma, and it has become one of the most recognizable attractions on old Route 66.

Dinosaurs are nothin’. How about a dragon?
This guy’s off of I-75 in Tennessee, not too far north of Knoxville, easily visible from the highway. He used to stand beside a fireworks store. The store burned down, but the dragon is still there (or at least he was as of last year, the last time we drove past).

Yeah - my 1st guess was something related to the Showmen’s League. (When I was a kid, one of my old cousins was an old circus man, and several members are buried in a cemetery near my MIL. Plenty of elephant sculptures! - NOTE the trunk down.)
