That has nothing to do with whether the challenge was made or not. Why are you nitpicky about the timing of the challenge (during a debate) and not the mechanism of the challenge (somehow throwing the kit at her and taking her DNA that way or something)? Is it because these are both tangential nonsense that have nothing to do with his actual challenge? ---

He never challenged her. He said, in essence, “if we’re ever in a debate, I _will_ challenge her”. They never had a debate. He never challenged her. You should be able to understand this. It’s not complicated. ---

It sounded like fairly typical red meat for a party’s base that gets thrown out at a campaign rally. Nothing in that video jumped out at me as particularly galling or offensive. I didn’t see anything that distinguishes him in a meaningful way from the average politician that infests DC, certainly nothing that raises him to a particularly high (or is it low?) level of “nasty despicable pandering hater” with enough distinction to set him apart from the rest of the field. IOW, this is typical-politician-levels of “nasty despicable pandering” in my view. ---
